Famous for its chic Cycladic architecture, Mykonos is all about traditional white-washed houses, blue-domed churches and ultimately luxurious villas. These combined create the most beautiful canvas for a destination wedding setup. When topped with its spectacular raw landscapes, Mykonos may be one of the hottest spots for wedding celebrations in Greece.
Known as ‘Greek Ibiza”, Mykonos island simply invites people to celebrate in style. It’s everything a contemporary couple may dream of- from the high-end accommodation to world-famous restaurants and a 5-star list of suppliers who are waiting to bring the vision of the chic Myconian wedding to life.
Valentina, from The Stars Inside, along with styled shoot organisers- Rebecca Carpenter and Nicola Dixon, brought this exact vision into reality.
Overlooking the dreamy Kalo Livadi Beach, Villa Ahlvar is a property like no other. With 12 luxurious bedrooms, a helipad, a private night club and 2 pools, this Myconian hideaway is not only a perfect venue for a micro destination wedding, but also an island home for a honeymoon shared with family and friends.
Except for the ultra-modern indoor features, the villa exterior blends seamlessly into the dramatic coastline and Kalo Livadi hills. The property has a spacious patio and terraces that all face the sunset side as well as serve perfectly as reception and ceremony setup spots.
The master bedroom of Villa Ahlvar served us as a perfectly clean and contemporary canvas for bridal preparations. The arch-shaped corridors, large windows and white-washed stone walls allowed a beautiful light and shadow play for capturing the details of the day. The stationery from Love Me Do, along with Zoe & Morgan jewellery and RU.ST Jewellery rings came together to create minimalist and luxe flatlays that complement the story of the day.
Just a step outside on the property’s largest terrace there was a ceremony setup not far from a Greek wedding fairytale. Petridis Creations decorated the terrace with the muted palette floral installations that perfectly fell in line with the earthy tones of the surrounding landscapes.
Following the latest wedding trends, Serena wore three different outfits during the inspirational shoot which brought another spark of creativity, variety and outside-the-box thinking. Firstly, she wore dress was Olive from Esty Style– a dreamy corset gown decorated with lace. The look was completed with handcrafted long gloves matching the gown perfectly.
Serena’s second look was a sleek and contemporary suit from a trending online store Rat and Boa. The fluid waist-tied Marlowe jacket and the wide-leg trousers define the elegance and sophistication.
The evening Esty Style gown was a perfect balance of classic and effortless elegance and modern elements.
Every carefully curated detail of the table setup came together to create a look of dreams. With the sun setting in the background and the chandeliers swinging in the wind, the table created a perfect image of how you would imagine a luxury destination wedding to be styled like. The muted linen canvas perfectly contrasted with vibrant florals and traditional ceramics.
